Amanda McKinley

My career as an Audiologist started 17 years ago and I joined the HearingLife team in early 2015. My qualifications are a Masters in Audiology (Honours) from Auckland University and a Bachelor of Science with Honours from Canterbury University. Since graduating in 2000 I have worked in three private practices (Nelson and Rotorua), helping adults with their hearing and tinnitus rehabilitation.
I have wide experience working with clients from all walks of life and with varied needs. The lovely people I meet through my work and being let into their lives, while we work together to improve their hearing, is the thing I love most about my job.
I was born and bred in Christchurch in a close, loving family which valued being honest, kind and caring – these are the qualities that I bring to each client while working towards making a difference in their life through better hearing. I look forward to meeting you soon!

Diane Boonen

I joined the HearingLife team in early 2017 and works in both the Te Puke and Rotorua clinics. Diane has been working in the hearing industry for 16 years and is a qualified Audiometrist having completed her qualifications with the TAFE Institute of Australia. I am member of the New Zealand Audiometrist Society and also a provisional member of the New Zealand Audiological Society specializing in adult hearing assessments, fitting of hearing aid devices and rehabilitation.
“I was fortunate to begin my audiology training at Tauranga Hospital and latterly at Whakatane Audiology specialising in adults and paediatric diagnostic hearing assessments and hearing aid fittings. I have also worked in Rotorua, Whangarei and Tauranga private clinics. I am proud to be part of an ever evolving industry which provides exceptional hearing technology and design to all New Zealanders’.
I have two daughters and three granddaughters (girls seem to run in our family) and been married for 36 years. I have a strong attachment to the Bay of Plenty area and look forward to meeting both our established clients and new clients to the Te Puke clinic. If you have any concerns about your hearing and would like to come in and have a chat you are very welcome.”
